Lithuanians preparing for rallycross fiesta this weekend in Vilkyciai

Already on August 14-15, Vilkyciai motorsport complex will host a rallycross weekend, where two rounds of the Lithuanian rallycross championship and one round of the FIA NEZ Baltic rallycross championship will take place. The fastest drivers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland will appear on the rallycross track in Vilkyciai.

Organizers are inviting spectators to mark August 14-15 on their calendars, which will be intriguing and will give a bunch of blood-burning episodes.

On the first day of the competition, on Saturday, in Vilkyciai, the participants of the Lithuanian rallycross championship will compete. However, the Lithuanian round will be open, so athletes from other countries will also be able to participate in it. On Sunday, the rouns of the FIA NEZ rallycross championship will be held, and another round of the Lithuanian rallycross championship will take place, so the spectators will not get bored both days.

"I invite all fans of rallycross to plan their weekend in Vilkyciai now, because a really big and interesting two-day event is waiting for you all on August 14-15. This is the only such event in our country, so don't miss the opportunity to witness it," said Kazimieras Gudžiūnas, the head of the Vilkyčiai motorsports club.

In contrast to autocross competitions, in the rallycross participants race not only on gravel but also on asphalt. The called "Joker circle" adds even more intrigue here, to which all drivers must go once during the racing heats. This is where it turns out which team's strategy is best, because the Joker is the place to win or lose a lot.

Ticket sales for the event have already started and are taking place online, on the Bilietai.lt platform, so the organizers invites spectators to secure the opportunity to enter the competition in advance.

For those spectators who intend to come to the competition by campers, the organizers remind that it is possible to spend the night in the spectator area near the track, but not all camping infrastructure will be created here, so it would be best to come here on the race day or a day before rather than a few days earlier.
